Life's Journey

Life seems to be heading in the right direction for me these day. Spring semester has officially begun here at Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, Ca. Second week and I'm allready writing a four page english paper. I don't think it would be so bad if I enjoyed the topic I am writing about. The topic is Gender and how society has an influence on young children's gender identity process. Based on a story written by Aaron H. Devour Becoming a Member of society:Learning the social meaning of Gender. It's a decent topic but I'm just not that interested in it. But I will get through it.

Also I in the works a forming a new club on campus as a project in my leadership class. The club's purpose is to raise money for Haiti Earthquake Victims. I'm on the fence about this issue. It is extremely tragic what happened in Haiti....But also I feel the need to focus on local problems in our community or even our own country. But I do see this a huge opportunity to get involved on campus. Also I think that a lot of people will be interested in this cause because of all the publicity. If I were to be raising money for some local charity many people may say Why aren't you raising money for Haiti.

I am extremely content with all of my professors this semester, I feel very confident that I will achieve a 4.0 this semester. and my work environment has improved this semester. Looking forward to new friendships this semester.
